This tutorial explains how to set up a Windows VPN using the PPTP protocol. Follow step-by-step to set up a PPTP VPN on Windows 7.

1: Click on your Windows Network icon and then click "Open Network and Sharing Center".
2: Next, click "Set up a new connection or network"
3: Select "Connect to a workplace" and then click "Next"
4: Select "Use my Internet connection (VPN)"
5: In the "Internet address" box, enter the PPTP server address provided by your VPN service provider. Then in the "Destination name", enter any name for your VPN such as "PPTP VPN". Then check mark "Don't connect now" and, click "Next"
6: Enter the username and then password provided by your VPN service provider. Then check mark 'Remember this password" and click "Create"
7: Click "Close"
8: Next, in the Network and sharing center, click "Change adapter settings"
9: After that, right click on your recently created PPTP VPN on Windows and open its Properties
10: Next, select the "Security" tab, then select Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) and click "OK"
11: After that, double click on your PPTP profile.
12: Next, check mark "Save this username and password" and click "Connect"
Your PPTP protocol on Windows 7 will be connected shortly. Afterward, you can use the same option to connect and disconnect VPN on Windows.
