This tutorial explains how to set up a Windows XP VPN using the PPTP protocol. Follow step-by-step to set up a VPN for Windows XP.

1: Open Windows XP Network connections and click "create a new connection".
2: Click "Next"
3: Select "Connect to the network at my workplace" and click "Next"
4: Select "Virtual Private Network connection" and then click "Next"
5: Enter a name for your VPN such as "PPTP VPN" and click "Next"
6: Enter the PPTP VPN server address as provided by your VPN service provider and click "Next"
7: Check mark the box if you want to add the VPN shortcut to your desktop. Click "Finish"
8: Click "Properties"
9: Go to the Networking tab and select "PPTP VPN". After that, click "OK"
10: Now enter the username and password as provided by your VPN service provider. Then check mark "Save" and click "Connect"
